The Sign Forge creates products to order. As such, custom or semi-custom items cannot be returned or cancelled once an order has been placed, production has commenced, or materials have been ordered.

Non-customised items may be returned provided they are:

• In original condition
• In original packaging

All returns must be sent back to us for inspection before any refund is approved. Refunds will only be processed once the item has been received and inspected.

The Sign Forge will honour all valid warranty claims submitted within 12 months of receipt of the item.

• Customers are required to pre-pay return shipping for warranty claims
• Return shipping costs will be reimbursed if the claim is successful
• Warranty claims will be assessed and processed within 21 days of receipt

Once a warranty claim is approved, we will repair or remake the sign within 14 days and return it free of charge.

⚠️ Warranty Exclusions

The warranty will be void if the product is:

• Resold or redistributed
• Used commercially without written agreement
• Used to operate a website or generate income
• Modified, altered, or repaired by a third party

Sale or discounted items are non-refundable unless faulty under warranty.

Customers are responsible for paying their own return shipping costs. Original shipping costs are non-refundable.

We strongly recommend using a tracked and insured shipping service for returns. The Sign Forge cannot guarantee receipt of returned items and accepts no responsibility for items lost or damaged in return transit.

For international orders, customers acknowledge and agree that:

• Import duties, customs charges, local taxes, and VAT are not included in our prices
• These charges are set by the destination country and are the responsibility of the customer
• The Sign Forge has no control over customs procedures, clearance decisions, inspections, or delays

While we take reasonable steps to assist with documentation and compliance where requested, customs clearance and acceptance remain outside our control.

Where goods are delayed, refused, returned, or held by customs authorities, The Sign Forge cannot be held liable for any resulting delays, losses, or costs beyond the value of the goods supplied.

Where goods are delayed, refused entry, returned, or seized by customs authorities for any reason (including but not limited to compliance checks, documentation requirements, or regulatory interpretation), The Sign Forge reserves the right to investigate the circumstances fully before any refund is issued.

Where a refund is deemed appropriate following a customs refusal, customers acknowledge and agree that:

• Refunds may not be immediate
• A reasonable period of time is required to:
  • Investigate the cause of refusal
  • Liaise with customs authorities, carriers, and manufacturers
  • Recover funds or goods where applicable

Refunds will be processed within a reasonable timeframe once investigations are complete and any recoverable funds have been returned to The Sign Forge.

The Sign Forge shall not be liable for delays caused by customs procedures, third-party investigations, or fund recovery processes outside of our direct control.

The Sign Forge designs, specifies, and assembles all signage to our standards and specifications.

In order to deliver specialist signage efficiently and to a high standard, we may work with trusted third-party manufacturers, suppliers, including those based overseas, to produce certain components or complete items.

Depending on the order, items may be:

• Manufactured wholly or partly by approved third-party partners
• Shipped directly from a partner or manufacturing facility

Unless expressly agreed in writing, signage is supplied for general commercial or decorative use only.

Where compliance with specific national, regional, or industry regulations is required (including but not limited to electrical, fire, or building regulations), this must be clearly stated in writing at the time of order.

The Sign Forge cannot be held responsible for non-compliance where requirements were not expressly specified and agreed prior to production.

Any delivery times provided are estimates only and are not guaranteed.

The Sign Forge shall not be held liable for delays caused by:

• Customs inspections or clearance
• Carrier delays
• Acts of third parties
• Events beyond our reasonable control

Delivery delays do not constitute grounds for cancellation or compensation beyond applicable refunds under these terms.

To the fullest extent permitted by law:

• The Sign Forge’s liability is limited to the value of the goods supplied
• We shall not be liable for any indirect, consequential, or economic losses, including but not limited to:
  • Loss of business
  • Loss of profit
  • Delayed openings
  • Reputational loss

Payment must be made in full unless otherwise agreed in writing.

Where special payment terms are agreed:

• Payment must be made by the specified due date
• Late payments may incur a 10% late transaction fee

If you are unhappy with any part of an installation carried out by The Sign Forge, you must notify us within 14 days of the installation date.

This allows us the opportunity to inspect and resolve any genuine snagging or installation-related issues promptly.

Issues reported after this 14-day period may be considered wear, damage, misuse, or third-party alteration and may result in a chargeable resolution. The Sign Forge cannot accept responsibility for issues reported outside of this timeframe.

Payment of any invoice, deposit, or balance issued by The Sign Forge constitutes full acceptance of these Terms & Conditions, whether or not they have been separately signed.

These Terms & Conditions apply to all orders unless expressly varied in writing by The Sign Forge.

These Terms & Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Scotland.

The Scottish courts shall have exclusive jurisdiction to settle any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with these Terms & Conditions, the supply of goods, or any related contract with The Sign Forge.
